Video production in Rainbow City, AL
Meet-the-team videos for Rainbow Drive clinics, social clips for local shops, and footage for businesses on Neely Henry Lake. Planned on a video call, filmed on location by Austin out of Rome.
From the HindLight Media portfolio, filmed for a client elsewhere. It is the kind of work Rainbow City calls me for.
Rainbow City video, from Rainbow Drive to Neely Henry Lake
Most of Rainbow City's business sits along Rainbow Drive, the stretch of US-411 lined with shopping centers, restaurants, medical offices, and service companies. Those are the Rainbow City businesses that tend to need video. A family practice or dental office that wants a meet-the-team video for its website. A restaurant or boutique that needs short clips for Facebook and Instagram. A roofer or HVAC company that wants job site reels showing its own crews instead of stock photos.
Healthcare offices on Rainbow Drive have a particular reason to care. Patients here can just as easily drive into Gadsden, so a short video of your actual staff answering real questions gives someone a reason to choose the office close to home. I film those inside the practice, usually before opening or after the last appointment, so nobody in the waiting room ends up on camera by accident.
The lake side of town
Rainbow City also sits on Neely Henry Lake, and the water opens up a different kind of shoot. Marinas, dock builders, boat and bait businesses, and anyone selling time on the Coosa can get footage from the shoreline and, where flying is allowed, from the air. Austin is an FAA Part 107 Certified Remote Pilot and flies those passes. The same lakefront makes a relaxed setting for engagement films and wedding portraits.
Rainbow City is a little past Gadsden on US-411 from HindLight Media's base in Rome, and the trip is folded into the quote. Planning comes first, on a free video call: what the video needs to do, whether it gets filmed on Rainbow Drive or down by the lake, and how many pieces one shoot day can produce. Then I make the run down US-411, film, and take the footage back to Rome to edit.
What Rainbow City businesses hire a videographer for
A shared ad and a customer testimonial reel, the sort of short, practical video a shop or service company on Rainbow Drive would use to stand out from the chains around it.

Video questions from Rainbow City
Will filming disrupt our patients or customers?
It does not have to. For a Rainbow Drive clinic or store, I usually film before opening, after closing, or on a slow day you choose. Your Rainbow City patients and customers only appear on camera if they have agreed to it in writing.
What kind of video helps a small business on Rainbow Drive compete with the chains?
Something that shows the people behind the counter. A short meet-the-team video for your website and a handful of vertical clips for social media give Rainbow City customers a reason to pick the local option. Both usually come out of one morning in your Rainbow Drive store or clinic.
Can you get footage out on Neely Henry Lake?
Yes. I can film from the shoreline, a dock, or a boat you provide, and add aerial shots where flying is allowed. Lake footage works well for marinas, dock and boat businesses, and engagement films.
Weddings, events, real estate, and drone
Business video leads the work here, but the same camera covers weddings, events, real estate, church and ministry media, and aerial work flown under an FAA Part 107 certificate.
