Podcast editing services that make every episode sound finished
Podcast editing from HindLight Media, for creators and businesses in Rome, Cartersville, Calhoun, Dalton and across northwest Georgia. You record the conversation. I turn the raw file into an episode that's ready to publish.
A podcast editor who hands back a finished episode
A podcast lives or dies on how it sounds. Your raw recording comes back tight and clean. The ums are trimmed, the levels are balanced and the background noise is gone.
I edit audio-only shows and video podcasts, and vertical clips can be cut from either one. If a recording has a bigger problem than a normal cleanup can handle, like a steady hum or a room that swallowed the voices, that's audio restoration work.
What happens to every episode
Full Episode Editing
I tighten the pacing, cut dead air and mistakes, and shape the conversation so it flows from open to close.
Audio Cleanup & Mastering
Noise removal, leveling and mastering, so every voice is clear and the volume holds steady from one episode to the next.
Social Clips & Show Notes
Short vertical clips and show notes cut from each episode, so the show has something to share between releases.
Consistent sound, without the headache
Editing is the part most podcasters dread. I take it off your plate so you can focus on the conversation and on hitting publish.
You work with one person and one clear process, and the show sounds the same from episode to episode. HindLight Media is local to northwest Georgia, and because editing happens remotely, I work with creators anywhere. Timing gets agreed on the first call, around your release schedule.
"Shooting content with Austin allows me to never have to worry about how the end product is going to come out. I can just focus on what I'm saying and let him handle the rest. ... And to top it off he gives excellent feedback and ideas for content and messaging. I think of him as a core part of my team!"
"HindLight media have been absolutely outstanding to work with for the past year and a half. Couldn't ask for a better group. Thanks for the days upon days of recorded content and expert editing!"

HindLight Media produces its own show, Off the Cuff by HindLight Media. It's conversations on creativity, business, and everything in between.

Podcast editing questions
What does a podcast editor do?
A podcast editor takes the raw recording and turns it into a finished episode. That means cutting mistakes, dead air and filler, balancing the levels between voices, removing background noise and mastering the file so it plays at a steady volume. I also write show notes and cut short vertical clips for social media.
How much does podcast editing cost?
Podcast editing is quoted per episode or as a monthly package. The quote depends on episode length, how often you publish, and extras like show notes, social clips or video. Call or text 706.506.5349 for an honest quote.
Do you edit podcasts for people outside northwest Georgia?
Yes. HindLight Media is based in northwest Georgia and serves Rome, Cartersville, Calhoun, Dalton and the surrounding areas. Editing happens remotely, so I work with creators anywhere.
How long does podcast editing take?
It depends on episode length, how many episodes you publish and which extras you need. Timing is agreed on the first call, with your release schedule in mind.
Can you edit a video podcast, not just audio?
Yes. I edit both audio-only and video podcasts, and vertical social clips can come from either one.
