Video production in Jacksonville, AL

Jacksonville runs on the JSU calendar. So do shoot days here.

A lot of video in Jacksonville starts with the university. Offices, programs, and student groups at Jacksonville State University have a steady need for recruiting pieces, event recaps, and hype videos, and the businesses around the downtown square want to reach those same students and their parents. A move-in weekend, a home football Saturday, and a quiet week in summer look nothing alike on camera, so I pick the date around what the video needs to show.

Away from campus, Jacksonville's video needs come from restaurants and shops on the square, from clinics and health offices serving both the town and the students, and from small manufacturers trying to find skilled people. For a shop owner on the square, a short clip of you talking in your own store usually does more than another paragraph on the website.

Where Jacksonville shoots happen

Most interviews get filmed right where the work happens: a classroom, an exam room, a shop floor, a storefront facing the square. When the story wants the outdoors, the Chief Ladiga Trail runs right through town, Germania Springs Park is close by, and the ridges of the Talladega National Forest to the east give a wedding film or brand piece some green behind it.

HindLight Media is based in Rome, Georgia, and Austin drives over to Jacksonville for each shoot. Before anyone gets in the car, a department head or shop owner can map out the shot list on a free video call and get a quote that already includes travel. If the finished video needs to be ready for a recruiting push or a big campus weekend, bring that up on the first call so the shoot date gets planned backward from it.
